Sam supports Bloom360 Learners as they engage in project-based learning and throughout the many movement activities built into each day.
Growing up, Sam loved school and dreamed of becoming a teacher. As she grew up, this love for teaching and learning continued. She studied psychology with an emphasis in child development at Carroll University. Sam knew she wanted to work with children, but it became clear her true passion was in the field of special education when she started working with children with autism.
Sam has more than two years of experience in early intervention ABA therapy working in home, school and clinic environments. She quickly progressed to an Advanced Behavioral Treatment Technician and enjoyed her leadership role in the company. She found her true calling in this line of work helping children grow and develop to their highest potential while bringing more light into their lives.
While Sam found this type of therapy rewarding, there were pieces of the puzzle that still seemed to be missing in terms of the child’s experience. Sam was very drawn to Bloom’s strength-based, developmental model which focuses on the whole child. Sam values the practice of mindfulness, gratitude, self-awareness, and presence in her daily life, which aligns very well with the Bloom360 educational model.
