Bloom360 Learning Guide, Laura Huelsman, Recognized as 2024 Teacher Fellow from The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation

03.27.2024

Bloom360 Learning Community is thrilled to share that Laura Huelsman, Learning Guide and Special Education Teacher recently was recognized with a 2024 Teacher Fellowship award from The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation.

The Teacher Fellowship award is presented to an elite group of 100 teachers statewide who are nominated for their leadership and service in and out of the classroom, their ability to inspire a love of learning and to motivate their students.

“I am extremely delighted that our very own Laura Huelsman has been selected as a Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Teacher Fellow,” shared Laura Rauman, Founder and President of Bloom360 Learning Community. “Each day, Laura inspires the Learners at Bloom360 Learning Community to engage their strengths and interests and foster a deep love of learning. I am so very grateful for her contributions. We join the greater community in congratulating Laura and all this year’s recipients.”

“I am deeply humbled and honored to receive this award,” shared Laura Huelsman. “My passion for teaching is fueled by ‘light bulb’ moments when a learner feels safe and supported to think outside the box and learning comes to life. I strive to meet a learner where they are at and build upon their innate strengths so learning resonates deep within the learner and creates opportunities to expand whole-person growth.”

Award recipients were selected by a statewide committee of civic leaders, representatives of education-related associations and the program’s co-sponsors: The Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, regional Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESA), the Association of Wisconsin School Administrators, and the Wisconsin Homeschooling Parents Association.
